Hello im having problems with my key getting stuck in the ignition barrel aswell and iv'e got a ML270 CDI all you do is
1. Press the brake pedal and make sure the cars automatic gear leaver is in the 'P' (parking) position. make sure that the key in the ignition barrel is not turned and try to select a different gear even with the foot brake on and it shouldn't move that means its activated a security lock which is normal.2. you start the car, 3. switch it off then 4. try and remove the key5. if it doesn't still come out just try and wriggle the key out (try all sorts of things like push the key in, try to pull it out while your turning it) ORalternativly with my car all i have to do is just take a spin around the block and try to take it out normally and it comes out easily.
AND if all of this does't cure your problem then im afraid you will have to go to Mercedes Benz where they will see the problem further.
how to remove key stuck in ignition switch in Chevy colbalt
There is an access cover just under the ignition cylinder. Remove this to remove the stuck key.
You can't, you have to replace the ignition switch
Maybe brake shift cable from brake to gear shifter?
remove battery cable
There should be a lock on the ignition a push button that you push and turn to remove the key
i have no clue i have the same problem with my Mazda 1999 626
check battery first, then check starter motor, then check the key, then check fuel, then check ignition follow this sequence, if you still get stuck email me on email@example.com
Stuck ignition switch.
To remove a key that is stuck in the ignition on a Peugeot 406 HDI, make sure that the car is in park. Then try to remove the key. If this does not work, spray the ignition mechanism with WD-40 after pulling out the key as far as possible. Then work the key in and out until it comes out.
Well, it sounds like the chip that is in your key may have broke or got stuck on a part of the ignition. I had that problem. This happened not long after I had had to have the ignition replaced?!?
Check my answer for 1985 380se with the same problem. Steven
it sounds like you need a master cylinder from the dealer make sure your wheel-lock isn't putting pressure on the ignition

To remove the stuck spark plugs, you can break them loose and then start to get them tighter as you rotate them out. The ratchet wrench can also be used to remove the stuck spark plugs.
Use the opportunity to replace the ignition. Key needs to be in On position for removal.
Try to put your car on the parking breakes.
If the key is stuck in the ignition you will need to get it looked at by the dealer. One temporary solution is to pop off the cap next to the shifter console and you should be able to remove the key by sticking a pen in there.
is it a ford? push the key in further and then turn it
Is the steering lock on? Jiggle the wheel when you turn the key.
light a fire cracker and put it near the point of stuckness, you may need to buy a new ignition system but atleast the key will be out
Call a real locksmith he will have that key out in a min at most. bad part is that if i was doing it it would cost u around $110 .
your key is probably wore out and tumblers are not moving
