The oil filter housing is plastic and is usually easy to remove with the correct cap wrench. If you use other means to loosen it, then damage may occur. I would have a spare housing handy.
You can find the 2005 Pontiac Sunfire air filter the inside of the air filter housing.. The air filter housing will be in the engine compartment.

Cabin air filter is located behind the glove box. Remove glove box[one screw] and pull filter out of blower housing. New filter will have instructions.
First wiggle off the air intake snorkel off of the filter housing, then pull off the vent tube from the filter housing, then loosen the clamp holding the housing to the throttle body, then gently wiggle the housing up and off the throttle body, then unsnap the clips and separate the housing halves exposing the air filter element. If you attempt to remove the filter element without removing the housing off of the throttle body first you will break something, been there, done that.
Open the glove box. Remove the damper from the glove box then let the glove box hang down. Remove the dust and pollen filter assembly from the evaporator case. Remove the filter from the housing, and replace the filter. Install the filter in the reverse order of removal. Make sure that there is no air leaking out of the evaporator.

It's behind the glovebox. open the glovebox and remove the retaining clips that prevent it from opening all the way. You can then see the filter housing behind the glovebox.
It is accessed from under the hood. It is located in the front of the engine next to the power steering fluid reservoir, and it takes a 36mm socket or wrench to remove the oil filter housing cover.

The IAT or intake air temperature sensor is located in the MAF or mass airflow sensor housing. The MAF sensor is mounted just below the air filter in the lower air filter housing. If you want to see the IAT sensor, just remove the air filter, the IAT sensor is the little brown pellet at the end of the wires hanging in the plastic housing above the throttle plate.
