It's easy: pull the rubber mats from the bottom of the front and rear cupholders to reveal one bolt (forward) and two Torx screws (rear). Remove all three and the console lifts up and back, splitting at the front cupholder. Now just pull the three screws from the speaker grill and the two screws from inside the locking compartment and pry the assembly out at its metallic braces.
