nail polish removerANS 2 - the only effectiveremover of ABS glue is Whitlam's GLUE WASH Lanolized Hand Cleaner, available at all good plumbing stores.
ABS yellow glue is the correct glue for ABS pipe. The only other glue to consider is Weld On Transition cement if you are gluing ABS to PVC parts.
Yes there are such a thing as glue on abs. It's as simple as buying the pack and either using permenant glue, or temporrary glue to keep your new abs on.
You just pull it apart really hard. PVC glue will not effectively glue ABS.
yes you can make glue out of pieces abs and acetone left in a jar overnight
The best type of glue for ABS is Oatey Standard Yellow cement.
It would help immensely if you said WHICH glue made the stains. As this was during plumbing, it may have been yellow ABS Glue, in which case your best remover is Whitlam's Glue Wash. -Rub the stains with a rag dipped in this and they should soften and come off -IF it's ABS glue.Next time please -Name your Glue -
It will remove some glues, but not all.
Yes, if you roughen up the ABS and use epoxy, not ABS cement.
Epoxy or silicone.
That is a very vague question and almost impossible to answer. It's necessary to know WHAT glue and on WHICH material. I wouldn't the same remover universally. If i get ABS yellow glue on a cotton blend shirt, i remove it with Whitlam's Glue wash - This will not work for most other things. If I get white glue on a T-shirt, hot soapy water often works.- You need to re-write and specify glue and material.
You can often chip away ABS glue. PVC glue is very resistant to chipping or melting. Generally it's easier to cut off an old fitting and glue another on.
