first disconnect the battery. *note (if your car is equipped with the delco loc 2 audio system be sure to deactivate this first before disconnecting battery)if it allready is not active disconnect battery cables you will need an 8mm wrench for that. next locate starter under the vehicle on the lower front side of the motor. remove the wiring from the starter this will require a 13mm wrench and an 8mm wrench.place wiring to the side noting where each of the wires go *note hold wiring near the connections so you don't break the terminals on the wires allthough easy to fix it is a pain in the but to do so.now you will need to remove bracket at front of starter this takes a 13mm wrench for the bolt to the block and a 10mm at the front of the starteryou may only have to loosen bolt at the block and remove the nut from the starter and bracket should be able to be swung to the side. now take a 15mm socket and ratchet with small exstension bar. remove final 2 bolts that mount the starter to the block.again note if a shim plate is used between the block and starter because you will need to put this back in when the new starter is installed.will cause starter hangups and wreck your flywheel if it is not. install new starter with shimplate if it applys to your vehicle.do not tighten bolts until all bolts and brackets have been lined up and started. than tighten bolts. install wiring making sure you got them in there right spots than reconnect battery.and anything else you may have had to remove. front engine splash guard etc.tahat should do it good luck and i hope this helped.
