Most electric Ariel's work the same. 1 Unscrew the top of the base (where the mast comes out from)
2 Turn on the radio to make the Ariel come up, it'll unwind the whole thing.
3 Get your new mast and feed it into the hole until it stops,
4 Turn off the radio and it'll wind the whole new one in,
5 Screw the
top of the base back on.

After you remove that, the antenna itself is held by a 10mm bolt. to get to it you'll need to open up the trunk lining near the antenna location and remove that bolt. Then, pull the antenna far enough to disconnect the antenna wire and power. Assuming the antenna motor is still functional, you can then replace the antenna mast with a new one. Or, you can install an aftermarket rubber antenna.
