Simple. Lower the armrest, then push IN HARD. The armrest will push in slightly towards the seat. When this happens, push DOWN on the armrest, twisting it until just about straight downwards. You'll feel the armrest loosen up. Jiggle it slightly while PULLING OUT on it-- it should then pull out of the seatback. After it's out, you'll see it operates by a pin on the armrest shaft that fits into a keyhole on the seat.
Is held in place by one retaining bolt. The retaining bolt can be found at the very back of the armrests. Loosen and remove the retaining bolt, the armrests will come off.
They are located below the armrests in the quarter trim panels behind the carpet. A really lousy place for sound quality really. To remove them you will have to take out the back seat and remove the panels that the armrests are attached to.
Usually there's a zipper along the bottom back. Unzip that and there's a bolt on the inside.

Normally the economy class seats have the central two armrests which can move up and down, the armrest on the isle side can sometimes be movable as well, but it has a latch under the armrest.
