The fuel pump on an LT type Corvette is removed through the fuel tank door. First disconnect the battery, then vent the fuel pressure. You will be safer if you can store the fuel in the tank somewhere else. Remove fuel tank door, then the screws around the bezel, then the filler door bezel. Remove the rubber fuel tank filler housing. Clean the top of the tank, remove and plug fuel lines. Disconnect wires, remove all of the screws surrounding the filler assembly then remove the sender and pump as a unit. You will want to replace the gasket, the pickup screen and other sundry items. I bet you can figure out how to put it back together!
