You'll need a couple flathead screwdrivers. There are 11 clips on the grill that need to be separated from the front of the vehicle. The clips pull apart with some moderate force. However, you need to be careful because you can damage the slender parts (I'll use the term "wing") of the grill that jut out down the middle/front of the headlamps. You have to be firm but not too forceful. There are two clips under each of these "wings". Make sure you get the tool you are using near the clip so you can pop them out without cracking the "wing". You can use one flathead to separate the "wing" from the front of the grill a bit and the other flathead to move further in near the clip to firmly (but controllingly) pry it open. One clip is approximately 2 inches from the end of this "wing" and the other clip is about 10 inches in from the end of the "wing". There are four clips directly on top of the center piece of the grill, 2 on the bottom of the center piece and 1 directly under the Chevy logo in the center of the grill.
If you are replacing one the headlight bulbs or turn signal bulbs you'll need to pull up on two clips that keep the headlamp assembly in place. Once you pull up on both of the clips (on top corners of headlamp), be careful of the wires that are still connected. You can get to the bulbs without pulling it all the way out of try separating the wiring to pull the headlamp box all the way off the vehicle. You'll see the rubber caps that you need to pry off to replace the lo/hi beam light bulbs. These bulbs for lo/hi beam are different. Make sure you get the right bulb. Check with the parts store to get the correct bulb. Don't touch the bulb with your bare hands. It's a a halogen. The natural oils from your hand can cause the decreas the lifespan of the bulb (may even crack).
To remove the grill from a 2001 Suzuki Grand Vitara, you must (1) first unscrew four plastic screws that run along the top of the grill. Pull these out along with the four plastic retainers they screw into. This will allow you to move the top part of the grill.
(2) pull on the bottom piece of the grill, straight out. Pulling it towards you. Do this with some force, but at the same time not enough to crack or damage the pieces that run under both headlights. That's now your goal. To pull out the pieces under the headlights. It's a bit hard to do, but I put one hand in the grill and the other on the piece that runs under the headlight. The hand under the headlight I wiggled a little until it finally let go.
That's it. A bit intimidating maybe at first, but overall not really that hard. Still think it's stupid you have to remove the grill to replace a headlight or any bulbs in the house. My suggestion is to replace ALL of them while the grill is out. I don't want to have to do this again for a long time.
To remove the grille from a Chevrolet Tahoe, first the clips on each end must be removed. Then, four screws that hold it in place must be removed.
To remove a 2002 S10 grill, first lift the hood and remove the four bolts that hold the grill in place. Then gently pull off the grill and disconnect the turn signal lamps.

Pop the hood, take off the front grill, remove old lights, replace with new ones. The headlights will probably be mounted on a frame.
You can either remove the bed, or use a transmission jack to lower the tank. I find it easier for a shade tree mechanic to remove the bed. Either way you have to access the pump on top of the fuel tank.
