5.5mm bolts are the kind of bolts that hold the ignition control module in a 1987 Ranger 2.3L. However, 5.0mm bolts may also work.
The module is located behind the Rotor Arm assembly in the distributor itself. You have to remove the Distributor Cap, then the Rotor Arm and the module is there.
Where is the ignition control module on a 1987 nissan 300zx
The ignition module is located in the distributor, under the distributor cap.
the ignition module is on the distributer(the thing all the spark plugs wires go to)
There is no ignition module on a 1987 5th ave. The spark control computer is on the air cleaner with a vacuum line hooked to it.
Either call a loclsmith or remove a door lock- may be easier access If you remove the ignition why not just put a new one in,it comes with a key
under the coil
Normally attached to the distributor (not the cap) on the side. Takes a special tool to remove it. Available at the parts store.
under the dist. cap
If your 1987 Celebrity has the 4 cylinder 2.5L engine The ignition module is mounted to the engine block beneath the intake manifold. First unplug the electrical connector, then mark the spark plug wires so you know where to put them back and unplug the spark plug wires. Remove the bolts that hold the ignition module in place. Then unplug the module from the crankshaft position sensor and remove the module from the vehicle. Reverse the procedure to reinstall. If your vehicle has the V6 2.8L engine: Raise the car and put on stands as necessary. The ignition module is bolted to the block below the exhaust manifold on the radiator side of the engine. Unplug the electrical connections. Mark the spark plug wires so you know where to put them back and unplug them. Next remove the bolts that hold the module in place and remove it. Reverse the procedure to reinstall.
i thinks you can find it in the electronic ignition module
