i have 85 cavalier how you get key cycliner out
Try changing the ignition switch located on the steering column
Underneath the plastic on column, right hand lower side...accessible without dropping column.
On this model, the wiper fuse is a circuit breaker in the wiper switch. There is a Blk/lt-grn wire (black light green), that has power from the ignition switch feeding the wiper switch. Check at the switch plug to make sure you have power coming in on this wire when the ignition switch is on. If you need more info, send me a message.
Yes. The Bronco body style didn't change again until after 1989.
im not to sure about the 88, but the 85 (i think are the same)disconect the battery. turn the ignition to run. remove the stearing wheel, then the lock plate behind it (using a lock plate depressor, remove the ring that holds it from popping out) after that, there are a couple screwes that hold in the ignition cylinder-remove them and pull it out with the key. need to know more about delta 88's? hit me up at cardomain@: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3115056
You must first remove the steering column covers. Once they are out of place you will see the actual ignition switch located on the RH upper portion of the steering shaft area. Remove the plug in from the switch by lifting up on the clips at either end of the socket tabs and wiggling the wiring socket free from the switch. To remove the switch, first take a punch and hammer. Center the punch on the head of what looks like a rivet and strike it firmly a couple of times with the hammer. Then using a good pair of pliers, or preferably a pair of vise grips clamp the jaws firmly and unscrew the mounting screws that hold the switch to the column in place. The installation is just reverse of the removal procedure, other than you don't have to strick the screw heads once back in place, just be sure they are tightened securly. When putting the covers back over the column, be sure to install the upper one first. It won't go on no matter how hard you try if the bottom half is installed first. Believe me, I just changed mine out this last week. :-)
