Remove two 8mm head bolts that hold the starter on. They are located on the left front side of the ATV and run through the drive belt housing. Right below the air duct to the air cleaner. You then have to stand the ATV on its back end, the grab bar, and remove the front motor mount bolt. It is best to use chain hoist to raise the frame and allow the motor to drop down a couple of inches. you will have to pry it down. There is no danger of it falling or etc. You remove the starter from underneath. It takes some wiggling and prying but it will come out.
suzuki motorbikes are awesome! they are very light in your hands and if u r young i insist u buy the 09 or 08 jr 80. but they can be expensive but a good starter bike or a pro bike
A 250 ATV can go from 80 to 120 kmh
Yes, the starter for the Suzuki LT80 can be rebuilt. Armature and brush kits are available from various online sources. The actual rebuild is not difficult but getting the starter motor out can be. You have to lower the engine through the bottom of the frame to get it out. As of May 2008 the cost of an armature kit and brush kit is very close to the cost of an after market rebuild starter so while you can rebuild this unit it may not save you much if any money.
If this is an 80's model, it should be rather simple. The starter will be underneath the passenger side. After you find it, just remove the cables to it and the two bolts securing it to the block and it should slide out towards the rear of the car.
How can restrict a suzuki lt80 transport
high quality suzuki oil 40:1
1Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove the 3 bolts attaching the starter to the engine/transaxle. Remove the heat shield and its clamp, if so equipped. Remove the 2 electrical wire connector terminal nuts and remove the wiring connectors from the starter. Remove the starter from vehicle. Clean all wire terminals of dirt, grease or corrosion. Reattach the electrical wire connectors and secure with the mounting nuts. Tighten the starter solenoid B+ nut to 80 inch lbs, and the solenoid wire to starter nut to 55 inch lbs. Reinstall the heat shield if one was removed.

yea. on the side of the engine theres a circular cover, you take off like 5 bolts(10 mm) to get it off. you have to buy the pull start that will go there.
Yes, the entire starter needs a rebuild by then. $80 at your local rebuild shop IF you remove it yourself and bring it to them. Usually has a 1 year standard warranty.
