The 93 requires a steering wheel puller, possibly the 92 also.

Remove the steering wheel and disassemble the wheel lock mechanism. This requires removal of the air bag and some special tools.
you need to remove the steering wheel to reach the bolt that hold the old ignition switch need some tools that can be found at "auto zone" shop to be able to pull out the steering wheel and remove some parts to see that bolt.or you can call a car locksmith.

Under the steering wheel.
remove the steering wheel, then the turn signal lever and cam. you will then see a small bolt down in the right hand side of the column, remove the bolt and pull out the ignition switch. GOOD LUCK!
Mine is a 14mm nut 1.5mm pitch.
Remove the belt from your 1993 Chevrolet S 10 Blazer power steering pump. Remove the power steering pump hose. Remove the power steering pump retaining bolts.
Remove cowling from under the steering wheel, remove the two nuts holding the wheel coloum. Drop the steering coloum. Ignition switch is about a foot down on the left side. Unhook the wires remove switch replace. P.S. Unhook battery cables high voltage in ignition system.
NO.. You must remove the steering wheel and a few other parts to remove it. Taking the covers off won't help.
