The alternator is located on the passenger side of the motor. You can remove 2 of the bolts from the topside of the engine, but the third one is located at the bottom of it. In order to get to it, you have to remove the passenger side front tire and the wheel well covering. Hard job, it's a very tight squeeze doing both because of the limited space to work in.
Remove the wiring harness from your 1999 Dodge Caravan alternator. Remove the alternator belt. Remove the alternator retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new alternator.
Remove the tray that holds the wiper motor assembly. This will give you the room needed to remove the alternator.

"Where is the crankshaft position sensor on a 96 ford probe SE?"

hi! i had the same problem on my '94 SE and it was caused by the distributor.
Negative......V6 uses different trans than I4
Yessir, it will.
No, take the battery out and bring it to an auto part store and they can test it.
1: First dissconnect your Battery + cable at your battery, 2: remove alternator drive belt by swinging up spring loaded tensioner pulley using a ratchet wrench or swing handle (strong arm) 3: remove alternator bolts, likely 2-3, you may have to lift/pry alternator slightly from mouting brackets to reach the Plug-in and Output cable 4: carefully release alternator/regualator Plug-in by lifting locking tab with a small flat screwdriver 5: remove alternator output power wire, likely a 10mm nut on end opposite to pulley 6:Remove alternator
first disconnect the battery - use a long breaker bar and socket to take tension off the tension pulley and at the same time remove the belt from the alternator pulley. disconnect the wires to the alternator make note of their positions. Then remove the 3 mounting bolts from the alternator.
If you crimp the three wires running to the inertia switch together and remove the switch, it will close the circuit thus bypassing the swich. I have a 1993 Ford Probe SE that this has been done to and as of yet it has no direct or indirect complications from doing this. It tops out at 118 mph. I have a 96 SE and love it.
Most alternator or battery shops will test it for free.
You probably blew out the alternator diodes and any diodes in any component that was turned on at the time. Unfortunately, that particular mistake can get expensive.
Yo no se
Unless there is an access panel above the fuel pump in the trunk, which I doubt there is, unfortunately the answer is YES.
It's on the back of the alternator
usually in alternator
You go to a mechanic.
No it won't. I had a 95 Ford Probe Se 2.0L and when the transmission went i upgraded to a 93 Probe Gt 2.5L V6 and my insurance didn't change at all. I love the car.
Should be the pulley just above the crankshaft pulley
