You need to remove the window hand crank with a window hand crank removal tool.

Door Panels Removal & Installation 1. Remove the sail panel (Front Doors Only). (Triangle looking shape near the side view mirror) 2. Remove the door panel by carefully lifting the panel upward to release the retaining clips. 3. Remove the electrical plugs that control the windows, exc. The installation is the reverse of the removal.

General Chevy info, remove door hande bezel, remove armrest, remove window crank if it has manual windows.(there is a clip on the crank) Start at the bottom and gently pry panel up pulling plasic clips out of holes in door. When panel is loose it will lift off of window ledge. If you have power windows or locks you will have to unplug the switches carefully

User Avatar

assuming its a full rear door(crew cab) and it has power windows, you have to pry from the front edge the power window panel to remove that and then the connections, there is a screw behind it that needs to be removed, then pry off the reflector on the lower part of the door, there is another screw there. then you can lift from the bottom up....the entire panel. If you have manual windows then you need the handle tool to remove that.

# Disconnect negative battery cable # Remove all door trim panel retaining screws and door pull/armrest assemblies if equipped with power mirrors remove the switch knob by pulling it straight back and remove the switch retaining nut # Remove the window crank insert a putty knife between the trim panel and the door and disengage the retaining clips.Work around the outer edge until the panel is free

I have a drivers side (front) speaker that went out. I think the problem is a speaker connection. How do I remove the window crank (not power windows) and then the whole inside panel?

User Avatar

To get your power windows to work in your 1994 Astro Van, first remove the interior door panel. Now you can access the actuator, the window switch, and the window motor. Replace the broken part in order to make the windows work again.

"Some of the safety features of the GMC Sonoma include: Driver airbag, ABS brakes, traction control, stability control, power windows, power locks and first aid kit."

If you have non-power windows, you must remove the window crank first (the part that attaches to the door pops up and a torx screw is there). # Remove the screws on the bottom of the door panel. # Remove the screw from the grab handle (where you put your hand to close the door). # Lift the whole door panel up and it will come loose (if you have power windows/mirrors they have to be unplugged before completely removing the door panel). # Remove the stick on white plastic triangle from the inside of the door. # Remove the three 11 mm nuts from the mirror studs.

User Avatar

hey. you need to remove the door panel and have a test light to see if you are getting power to the windows moto when you are pushing the switch. if there is no power i would say the main window switch is bad,
