When removing the door panel, you need to remove all of the screws first. Then pull the door panel off. There should be screws around the edges or the door panel, and 1-2 screw on the door handle(on the inside). Then pop the door panel off, if the blazer has electric windows and locks you have to disconect them first, if it doesnt have power locks and windows, you have to take the window crank off, there should be a screw in the center of that. Unscrew the door lock and pull up. If it doesnt have them locks then you have to disconect it from inside the door panel
There are 2 screws in the bottom of the door and 2 more under the door handle in the inside of the car just pop it off at the seems and screws will be inside pop panel off and unplug the power locks

Fuse is located in the inside fuse panel. Remove it with the fuse puller
You have to remove the door panel, that part which you are asking about attached to the panle with four screws from inside. When you are about to remove the panel tray no to drop it down hold it. You have to disconnect wire harness from the panel in that wat it's easier to remove the buttons thing.
make sure you remove all the things screwed into the panel like the arm rest/handle and the door handle/locks and pop off the window crank if the windows are manual. there are little plastic plug like things that 'screw' into the panel. they then pop into holes in the doorframe. just pull on the bottom, work your way up, then after they are all pulled then lift up the panel, then look for things wired into the panel like the door locks and the window buttons if the windows are electric.
It takes a special tool. Not expensive at the parts sttore.edit by jwko - My gosh, it takes no special tools. Roll the window up and remove inside door panel. Be careful if you have any pwr windows/locks/mirror switches. You should be able to pop those out first and remove wiring harness. When you remove the inside door panel you sould be able to see how to easily remove the door handle assembly.
General Chevy info, remove door hande bezel, remove armrest, remove window crank if it has manual windows.(there is a clip on the crank) Start at the bottom and gently pry panel up pulling plasic clips out of holes in door. When panel is loose it will lift off of window ledge. If you have power windows or locks you will have to unplug the switches carefully
