Mine is a 2002 XC70. I just did the rear, not the front. There is a small cosmetic screw cover in the door-latch...I took a very thin flat-head screw driver and worked the cover out. Then there will be either a Phillips type screw or a Torx type. Remove that. Then along the perimeter of the door panel are some plastic attachment pins. First, use a small, blunt object to very gently press in the center of the pins. They will make a very distinct click. After pressing in all the centers of the pins, gently slide a flat-head screwdriver uner the heads of the pins and slide them out. At that point simply push the centers of the pins completly out from the bottom to the top. Put that aside somewhere they won't get lost. Next, lift up and away from the door. You will see two things that need to be disconnected. One is the door-latch cable. It's a simple thing to release the clip on that and it goes back on just as easily. There are YouTube vids that demonstrate this. Then release the connector for the power windows. You are done.
Replace is just the opposite. However, when reinserting the pins around the door panel, make sure you isert the large pin all the way first, then gently insert the center portions slowly, unitil just flush with the large part of the pin. Again, this is on YouTube if you search for "remove door panel on Volvo XC70" or such... hope this helps!
