To remove the fuel filter on the late model Broncos first with the ignition off releive the fuel residual fuel pressure in the system. This is done by depressing the center ipn on a shrader valve on the fuel injector rail in the engine compartment. (it looks like a bicycle tire valve.) There will be some fuel leakage when this is done so lay some rags under it. Nest you will need a special tool. (not very expencive) This tool is a small plastic peice thet clips on over the fuel line and slides in to the round spring-loc flange and expands the internal spring allowing the filter to be separated from the main fuel line. I have used a home made tood made out of a peice of plactic fromm the side of a spray paint can cap. Cut a strip wrap it around the fuel line and slide in to the spring-loc fitting. To install the new filter remove the tool and simply snap the fuel filter in to the fuel line. You should not be able to separate them by hand once it is fitted correctly. When done turn the key on and inspect for leaks.
