Two years ago, I changed the driver side. It helped to remove that small strip below the assembly and have small hands. To remove the cometic strip, I used a small screw driver and inserted it between the joint of the side fender and strip will pop out (it should bubble out as you apply presure-be gentle). I don't remember why this made it easy but I do remember it was easier to manipulate the assembly in. The screws are difficult to get to, I think there were about two and I believe I removed them by laying on the ground under the pumper, there was one on each side. It took about an hour but it should have only taken me about thirty minutes- hind sight. Best wishes and use a flash light to look from under the pumper - think and feel with your hands. Once the assembly is in replace the cosmetic strip by putting the side close to the grill in first and than push the outer side by the fender in. Oh, I didn't need to adjust the lamp- the new one fit perfectly.
you dont either replace assembly or if covers are fogged have them buffed
Well you can take two approches to changing the headlamp bulbs. First, although it is a tight fit you can pop the hood. remove the black plastic guards(for lack of a better word) you will see what im talking about, and reach your hand in the rear of the head lamp, remove the rubber cover and pull the bulb out and change. Another way is to remove the grille, and trim that fits underneath the headlamp, and remove the whole headlight assembly. it is alot easier to see what you are doing with the headlamp assembly removed
