Lift the hood and loosen the round screw heads directly above lights - 2 on each. lift assembly off of the rack and unplug light
There are 2 thumb screws on each headlight assembly, remove these and it should come out.
Remove headlight assembly to access bulb/socket.
remove the 2 plastic screw knobs directly on top of headlight assembly, they will most likely be rusted in so you might have to use vice grips or channel locks to break them loose, after that the assembly will pull straight up and out.
You break it!
Remove the entire headlight assembly to gain access to the bulbs.
undo the 2 star screws on the top of each of the lamps. then pull straight out
On the 1998 Buick Park Avenue, the headlight bulb can be replaced by raising the hood and removing the back panel of the headlight assembly. It is held on by two clips at the top. Then, remove the old bulb and replace with the new one, being careful not to touch the bulb itself. Touching the bulb will cause the bulb to overheat and burn out again right away because of the oil in the fingertips.

simply remove the two screws located on the top of the headlamp assembly and then pull the headlamp assembly forward to gain access to the light bulbs
unbolt it
By removing the locks that hold the headlight assembly in place you can wiggle the headlight assembly out to gain access to the headlight bulbs for replacement.
There is a long bolt on top of the headlight/blinker assembly. Remove this bolt and slide the entire headlight/blinker assembly out just enough that you can see the bulb socket. Twist the socket and it will pop right out.
