"I dont know but am looking for an answer myself, so far I know for sure theres a couple of 10 mil bolts on the back of the assembly and from what i gather i think you have to take off the front bumper but i dont know....need more help."
I didn't read the date on this, but it's a top Google result so here it goes:
Yes, you have to remove the bumper. There are about 6 screws (Running along the engine bay near the radiator), 4 bolts (Easy to spot! One in each front corner of the bay and one in each corner under the bumper. You don't have to jack the car and it's extra easy if you have a swivel on your socket.), and 2 clips (You'll see these wanting to un-clip after the two bolts in the bay are removed) holding it on. There are 2-4 more bolts on each lamp's mount that you must remove also. (Obviously you must also remove the bulbs from the lamps as well. I think it's common knowledge, but just in case; never touch the bulbs themselves or the oil from your skin will ruin them!) Should only take an hour at most your first time from start to finish.

You'll have to remove 4 bolts on each headlight, 2 are located on the rear part of the housing close to the fender - one on top of the headlight and the fourth is on the bottom you'll need to push in the socket between the headlight and the front bumper....
The headlight on the 300zx is held in by the black frame . the side screws are located on the side of the headlight and only visible when head light is in up position. Once this is removed you then remove the silver framescrews located at the edges of the top and bottom. Do not remove the side screw which is for direction adjustment. Pull out disconnected the connection (3 pronge) connect to new and reverse order of removal

The headlight assembly on a 2001 Honda Prelude is held on by mounting brackets. Headlight housing can be taken off by removing all the mounting hardware and disconnecting the bulbs.
Remove the wiring connector from the back of your headlight assembly. Take hold of the light bulb, push in and turn at the same time to remove. Reverse the process to install the new light bulb.
Left side under the headlight assembly
Remove the wiring harness from the back of the headlights. Remove the headlight retaining bolts. Remove the headlight. Reverse the process to install the new headlight.
Look in the Owner's Manual. Considering that it's GM they have surprisingly clear instructions for changing bulbs to removing grill to R&R headlight assembly.
The complete headlight bucket assembly comes out so you can replace the bulbs easily. Open the hood, stand in front of said headlight, notice two locking tabs sticking up behind the headlight bucket, with a little effort pull up and wiggle each tab out, now wiggle the entire headlight assembly out in the open, twist and remove headlight socket in question, reverse proceedure to install.
Remove the tire and wheel. Remove the brake assembly and rotor. Remove the axle end cap. The rear hub assembly will come off.
Remove the 2 thumb screws that hold the headlight in place
In order to answer your question I will need the year of the car. 97
