the nut is reverse thread. u have to get a air impact hammer to knock it loose. it loosens to the left.

Water pump 1999 suburban?
To replace..got to take the fan clutch off. Remove hoses. Use permatex when putting new one on. Autozone has fan clutch removal tool. Very helpful. Thanks..good luck

when the clutch releases at the very top, that usually indicates that the clutch needs replacing. the clutch may just need adjustment. one more thing, the clutch on Chevy s-10's usually release high anyway.

Why remove dewclaws?
They can scratch you. They can get stuck on something and yanked off. It is better to just remove them. Thanks ERIC

I thought I broke my clutch cable but it turns out that i didnt so that means it is most likely inside the "housing". If anybody can provide me with a link to a detail view of an exploded clutch, it will show me all of the other parts involved in making a clutch work and hopefully narrow my search down. Thanks EG
