Remove the 1998 Oldsmobilepump hose. Remove the power steering pump retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new power steering pump.

To remove the console shift knob on the AT 1993 Olds Achieva, first pry the cover from the top of the shift knob. Then, access the single screw inside the cover of the shift knob and turn it counter-clockwise to release the knob.

The oil pressure sending unit is located up on the head near the pulley for the power steering pump. It is on the back side of the head. I had to replace mine. It is an easy job.

The power steering pump is held on by several bolts and hoses and the power steering belt. Loosen one of the bolts on the pump to adjust it down so you can remove the tension from the belt. Once that is done, start removing the hoses carefully. They will be leaking fluid so it's good to place a rag underneath. Once the hoses are disconnected, remove the bolts holding the pump in place and it will be free.

Remove 2 caliper bolts, squeeze piston back,remove old and fit new pads. Wirebrush slider then re-fit caliper.

I never flushed a power steering unit in my 43 yr's of driving and never had a problem with a power steering unit, it's just a money maker for the garages and doesn't have to be done.
On an Olds Silhouette it is under the cover for the wiper arms on the passenger side of the van

I haven't seen one lately, but most GM's require a power-steering pulley puller. You should be able to borrow one from a local parts store for a small deposit, or maybe buy one from an online auction site.
