You need to rent, borrow or purchase a Power Steering pulley puller. This tool will remove and replace the pulley without damage to the pulley or the pump.
Start by removing the lines, drain the fluids, then remove the pump pulley. After that, remove the mounting bolts.
Remove the belt from the pump. Disconnect the lines and drain the fluid into a container. Unbolt and remove the pump. Using a puller, remove the pulley from the power steering pump. Mount the pulley to the new pump. Reverse procedure to install.
It takes a special tool that you may be able to rent from a part store.

Standing in front of truck look to your below power steering pump you see a pulley that is your tenisorner pulley 15mm loosing the bolt on pulley above to the left is another 15mm also turn counter clock wise to loosen it this will help remove the belt
Remove air box, pulley is located just under attached to engine block. Should remove bolts take off belt, and replace pulley and belt.
You need a pulley puller.
Should be bolts at each corner of seat
Remove serpentine belt. Unbolt old pulley. Install new one & serpentine belt.

You can change an idler pulley on a 2001 Monte Carlo by first, removing the negative cable from the battery. Using a socket wrench, loosen the tension adjustment bolt. Slide the serpentine belt away from the pulley. Remove?æthe center bolt, and remove the pulley from the engine. Replace the pulley,?æreturn and tighten the bolts, and replace the serpentine belt.
