You need a special tool that threads into the same area that the long threaded rod unscrewed from. What this special tool does is threads in and creates a push effect on the tapered crankshaft of the motor between the rotor. It will pop the rotor right off and send the rotor falling to the ground below. So have a nice soft padding of some sort right below when you try this. This is generic on MANY models of generators and there are plenty of write ups and even YouTube videos that show DIY'er setups for getting these off.
