Slide back the plastic cover to expose the "E" clip on the fitting. Remove the "E" clip with a small pick and then wiggle out the transmission line from the fitting. To install, replace the "E" ring first then snap the line back in and replace the plastic cover over the fitting.
The cooling radiator needs to be used to keep the oil from overheating. If the lines are plugged, the engine could be ruined.
The Festiva motor has 8 block to transmission bolts and 3 motor mount bolts, take those out and lift. You also have to remove all wiring, cooling system hoses, fuel lines, ac lines, etc that are in the way.
if you are asking about the cooling lines for the transmission that connect to the radiator, its easy. first disconnect the lines from the radiator (2 lines, usually on the bottom opposite the radiator outlet) then disconnect the lines from the transmission. remove the brackets holding them on, then remove.
Remove the old oil filter. Drain the oil and remove air cleaner housing. Place the car on Êa jack. Loosen the engine mounts. Raise the engine and loose the bolts on the motor mounts. Remove the engine shock and the two brackets securingÊthe oil lines. Remove the oil cooler lines.
You will need to drain the anti-freeze from your 1995 Mazda 626 cooling system. Remove the water lines from the heater core. Remove the heater core retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new heater core.

Disconnect the negative battery cable. Properly discharge the air conditioning system. Disconnect and plug the refrigerant lines from the engine compartment. Remove the glove box and mating trim. Disconnect the intake sensor connector. Disconnect the fan control amp and blower motor connector. Remove the blower and cooling unit. Separate the blower and cooling unit case. Remove the evaporator. Remove the blower motor retaining screws. Remove the blower motor from its mounting.
Remove hood remove radiator, remove a/c compressor, power steer pump do not dis connect a/c or PS hoses disconnect from engine, remove starter, remove motor mount bolts 2 long ones, disconnect wiring harness from engine and transmission, remove drive shaft from transmission. remove bolt from end of transmission, mount, remove fuel line, oil cooler lines, transmission lines if it's automatic, disconnect exhaust manifolds, ground strap, vacuum lines, throttle, cruise control cables, hook up your chain to engine & to hoist & remove slowly.
