First take battery terminals off battery. If it's an automatic you will need to drain Transmission Fluid by lossening trans. pan bolts.Take starter off then the lines going to trans. Remove the drive shaft and trans.mount then take out all the bolts going into motor from trans. I would put a floor jack under trans. to pull it out from under truck. I :
