REMOVE THE DOOR PANEL once the door panel is off, disconnect the harness that is hooked to the power control switch, windows etc, after that you will see maybe 2-3 bolts on the door which holds the window regulator, unbolt those be careful of the window, you should have some screws that hold the glass to the regulator bracket, unscrew those to release the glass, you may want to use something to prop it up so it dont break, once you unbolt it slide the entire unit out, you will see the regulator and the motor, just unbolt the regulator and put the new one in and reverse the procedure.

Most likely it is the regulator, either the cable is broken or the plastic at the top broke and the cable became unspooled and wrapped around itself. The window is held in by two screws that tighten a clamp on the window that holds pretty tight so it is doubtful it is that.
Neither, probably be the switch.
Take it so a Auto Glass store and they will do it.

Passenger side, attached to the top of the fuel rail by a clip (located underneath the regulator between the regulator and the fuel rail). It also has a vacuum line hooked up to it leading to the back of the intake.
I fixed the same problem on my 2003. GM said I have to change the regulator. In fact all's i had to do was change 2 plastic clips that run on the window slides. 1/ take off the inner door skin. and remove broken clips, 2/ gentley snap on new plastic clips, re conect wiring to ensure it works before putting door skin back on. Chances are you don't need a whole regulator (window mechanizum that enables your window to go up and down)
