How do you repair or replace front brake pads on a 1995 Ford Ranger?

First jack the vehicle and place jack stands under it securely. Then remove your front wheels and then use a 8 or 10mm socket to release the brake fluid pressure in the line from the little bleed nipple. If you look closely you will see the pins top and bottom that hold the caliper onto the brake discs. You have to squeeze these in to start movement with a needle nose pliers and tap with a small hammer, once it has been tapped pass where the hammer can reach just use a flat screw driver in the slot and continue tapping until it drops out and continue squeezing with the pliers at the other end that has came out beyond the housing. Once both are removed you can then grab the whole caliper assembly and lift it off of the disc. The pads are very simple to take off and replace, just take a look at how they are on and install the new ones the same way and re-install the calliper assembly the reverse of how they came off. The brake piston may need to be pressed in using a C clamp for the new pads to fit because they would be a bit thicker because they are new and the others were worn right down so were then very thin.
