Remove the heater core retaining bolts. Remove the heater core water supply hoses. The heater core will come out. You can access the heater core in your 1972 Chevrolet Corvette through the passenger side kick plate.

The heater core is behind the AC evaporator core. You must remove the panel with the venting on the passenger side. Then you must disconnect the two AC fittings inside the engine firewall. You do not have to remove the AC evaporator core, it will swing somewhat out of the way so that you can get to the heater core. There are several clips and screws holding the heater core in place that must be removed. Then you are able to remove the heater core. It is about a $35.00 item.
It is lo cated behind the dash. There is no short cut or fast way to replace it. The dash has to come out to access the heater box and replace the core. So the steps in replacing the heater core are to evacuate the freon out of the AC system, disconnect the heater hoses, disconnect the AC lines and AC drier from the evap core fittings, remove the dash, remove the entire AC/heater box, open the top of the case and replace the core. Reassembly is in the reverse order as disassembly. Recharge the AC system, fill the cooling system with new coolant, and burp the air form the cooling system.

You will need to remove the anti-freeze from your 1997 Chevrolet Venture cooling system. Remove the water lines from the heater core. Remove the heater core retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new heater core.
Drain the water from your 1994 Chevrolet Blazer cooling system. Remove the heater core water supply hoses. Remove the heater core retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new heater core.
Heater core is located inside the H/AC "suitcase". It can be a chore, but you're best bet is to remove the 'suitcase' and remove the heater core once the suitcase is on the ground.
Take out the screws that hold the AC/Heater housing together and separate it, and it's right there.
It is a major undertaking to replace the front heater core, or the AC evaperator. They are both housed inside a plastic chamber behind the dash. You have to remove the left side of the dash, and all associated wiring, lower the steering column, and open the AC system in order to get the Heater/AC chamber our to remove the top of the chamber and lift out the heater core. The Haynes manual gives a step-by-step directions. It took me most of the day to replace my AC evaporator. Good luck, and don't forget to connect back up all the electrical plugs.
The heater core is on the passanger side, located behind the bower motor housing on the firewall. If the car doesn't have AC it is not a difficult project. Remove the heater hoses from the firewall and then remove the screws that attach the cover to the firewall. The heater core rests inside.
Not an easy task! Dash must be removed, ac discharged, HVAC housing removed and HVAC housing separated to replace heater core. Not for the faint at heart, but easy for an experienced Technician.
