Re: How to replace 95 Achieva heater core...
Drain the antifreeze. Keep the drain pan under the heater core hoses. Disconnect the battery. Remove the hose clamps/ 2 hoses fom the heater core from under the hood in the engine compartment. These hoses are hard to reach. You can try to reach the hose clamps from under the raised car.
Inside the car: remove the center console if you have one (there is a little clip to pry out from the front of the trans-shift lever), heater ducts and covers and the square black plastic heater core cover. You will need various small sockets.
Then just snap the 2 straps loose and replace the core. Make sure that the hoses are not the source of the leaks. Replace the hoses if they are old. One of the hoses is 3/4" on one end and 5/8" on the other end. So, you will need a hose size adapter in the hose if it not a factory hose assembly. I dont remember the size of the other hose.
How do you replace an 1994 3.1 Oldsmobile Achieva s radiator?
I have one. Want it?

It is about a 3 hour job. It would depend on the hourly charge of your local shop, plus the cost of the heater core. Which I think is around 30 bucks.
There is NOT an EGR valve on this engine.
The question you ask is too involved for a proper answer. you need to go to a car parts store, and get you a repair manual for your car. They cost about $16.00.
2.3L quad 4 is located under the exhaust manifold passenger side. To replace you have to remove the exhaust manifold.
Changing brakes is a simple task. Lift the car, remove the wheel, remove the brake shoe, replace the pad, replace the shoe, replace the wheel and lower the car.
4x6 in the front 6x9 in the back
If you need to know that. You should not be behind the wheel.
Under the dash on the left side of the steering column/
in the exhaust system Very close to the manifold, you should see a wire come out of a large nut, to remove and replace you should have a socket made for this application
