under hood, disconnect coolant hoses where they go into firewall in cab, remove glove box.then remove screws that hold platic cover behind glovebox this will give u access to heater core undo screws remove heater core install heatercore, rplace plastic cover,replace glove box under hood re attach heater hoses job is done,NOTE u do not need to drain engine coolant you can position heater hoses where they will not drain
1996 & older this is right 1997 new generation you have to drop steering column, set dash back then disassemble box. Good idea to replace blend door at same time they are giving trouble breaking at acuator motor
