how to change steering column on 86 pontiac bonneville
I have a 1996 Sunfire and the 4way flasher is located on the top of the steering column.
There is no relay. The flasher in under the dash on the left of the steering column
The neutral safety switch is found under the clutch pedal on a Pontiac Sunfire. Crawl under the cars steering column to see and reach the unit.
I'm kind of wondering why you want to replace the column? It's a pretty big job, I'd imagine.
The OBD2 plug for most GM vehicles is to the left or right of the steering column, at the bottom of the dashboard.
Probably either in the "convenience center", located at the driver's side kick panel, or inside the steering column housing.
This question has come up several times. The answer seems to be to remove the housing around the steering column and look underneath. There are two flashers. Replace the one on the right. but don't quote me, OK? I stole this answer from one of the other posters
On the column accross from the key lock cylinder
I think you'll find the flashers in the "convenience center" above the driver's side kick panel. If it's not there, it might be inside the steering wheel housing. FriPilot Thanks for the info Fripilot but I do know that it is in the steering column and was basically looking for instructions on how to replace it. EFB
Check the "convenience center" located near the driver's side kick panel. If you don't find it there, it may be inside the steering column housing. FriPilot
