This is not a pleasant task.
Make sure the problem isn't just the blower resister before tackling this.
I just changed the blower motor on a 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan, but the van has 290,000 miles on it so I didn't mind having to break off one of the five screws holding the housing of the blower motor.
Open the glove box and swing it down by pulling in on the plastic tabs. The glove box will also come off if you gently pull in the reverse directions of the grooves in the plastic hinges.
You will need a variety of small sockets (with short extensions) and box wrenches to remove the blower motor housing.
On the very bottom of the assembly, first remove the "external vent/ interior recirculator shroud" motor and gear by removing two screws. Disconnect the motor blower wires from the quick connector using a screw driver to press the tab on the right while pulling on the connector.
There are five screws holding the blower motor housing. Four of these are visible and if you are a small contorsionist and have the patience to try various wrenches and sockets these four can be removed. Three are bottom up, the one on the right is top down.
The fifth screw can not be easily accessed.
Loosen the housing and gently push the motor wires rubber protector back into the hole it comes out of.
As you continue to loosen the housing you will get to the place where the fifth screw will need to be snapped off (unless of course you want to remove half or more of the entire dash board). Keep applying gradual pressure on the fifth screw by pressing down on the front of the housing. It will hopefully snap (at least mine did). Watch where your hands are headed. I got a slight cut when it let loose. There is an "external vent/interior recirculator plastic shroud" that becomes evident as the housing is removed.
When this screw is snapped off the blower motor housing can be removed and the blower motor screws can then be accessed. Remove these three screws.
The "external vent/ interior recirculator plastic shroud" doesn't need to come out as the blower can be squeezed in and out while the shroud is held back out of the way.
There is still a lot of tightness to remove and replace the blower motor but it can be done.
Reinstall in reverse manner, but be prepared that you will not have an easy time getting it easily out of its position, nor back into it.
