Called a local dealer today and informed that the cost is approx. $500. Not including hoses and belts, if you choose to replace. Found a new pump for $70.

Take off the belts then the hoses then the belts holding it on.
undo bolts from firewall,drain coolant,unclamp hoses- pull core out,replace w/new, also replace hoses/clamps(you won't be sorry)
it is located on the passenger side wheel well...it has 4 hoses attached 2 going into the heater core and 2 going into the engine...simply disconnect the hoses and replace with new heater valve
