If it is the pump seal - replace the seal and other related gaskets. If it is the pump itself - replace the entire pump.
you may have to prime your pump Clean or replace the filter.
For an above ground pool such as a summer escapes pool by pool poly, fill the inside of your filter with tabs. Approx. 8-10 tabs. Replace basket and place back into pump. Turn on pump and let it run.

The front bearing is going bad possibly from a pump seal leak or just age. Cheaper to replace the motor than to replace bearings. New motor will have a 1 yr warr.
It would be recommended to observe the pump size rating (horsepower) and replace with a swimming pool pump that has a similar flow curve. In terms of brand name, there is no reason that you need to use the existing brand again unless you want to.
could be , is the water level above the skimmer/s / are the skimmer baskets clean/? pump may have just lost it's prime. fill pump with water replace lid and restart.

Above ground pool pumps are made to sit at or below the water level, not to pull water up. If placed above the water level, or away from the pool-side they will not circulate the water properly and may not even prime. For your well, a better option is to go for an in-ground pool pump - or better still, purchase a pump made for your particular application.
