Just changed one on a 2000 Limited with a 5.0 engine. Probably the same. It was behind the upper mainfold and against the fire wall just right of center. The only way you can see it is with a mirror. It is mounted in a fairly large rubber insert. Just pull it straight up and bring the hose toward the drivers side of engine compartment. It was helpful to take the large wiring connector off it's mounting to allow better access. Good Luck.

Just locate the PCV valve wich is located on the back side of the left valve cover on V6 and is located on the top of the left valve cover on a V8 just pull it out and disconnect the vacuum line and install new one.
