Not sure on a 2002. But I changed mine on a 2004. More than likely, the same place. The sending unit is in the fuel tank. This is located under the rear seat. Remove the rear seat (pull tab, 1 on each side, lower front). You will see an access panel. Best to do this job when fuel tank is low. Remove the panel. Remove electrical connection, remove hoses, remove bolts. Fuel pump and sending unit all comes out together. Replace sending unit, re-install unit. Found sending unit on-line (don't remember where) 45. - 50.00 bucks) Mitsubishi dealer wanted 400.00 to replace. Good luck
Refer to repair manual for proper instructions Remove gas tank remove sending unit replace with new sending unit and properly reinstall sending unit and gas tank
Yes but you have to be in level three orbit to do so
The sensor screws into the side of the oil pan. You will need to drain the oil and then replace the sensor.
yes
Replace sending unit which is located inside gas tank (gas tank must be removed from car).
there is an access plate in the trunk. Remove carpet remove and replace. Beware of gas fumes and spillage.
If the oil light comes on but the oil level is ok, the problem may be a faulty sending unit, as it turned out in my case.
you will need to take the fuel tank out because it is inside of the tank.just put a new fuel sending unit in and you should be good to go.
There are several sending units, engine temp, oil pressure, fuel level to name a few. We need to know which one and also the year, make and model vehicle.
location of oil level sending unit 6.6 disel
Remove the rear seat...You'll see the sending unit with the connectors(it's a metal plate)...Remove all the screws, unplug the connectors and hoses and the whole sending unit comes out in one piece....It's very easy//
oil pressure sending unit could need replacing, or you could have low oil level. I recently had to replace my sending unit after putting too much lucas oil stabilizer in.
