First you need to remove the lower dash panel. There is on screw/bolt near the accelerator pedal, I always get this one first. Then you have to remove two bolts that hold the testing jumper block, this is right near the emergency brake pedal. Once these are pulled then you pull the three obvious bolts that attach the lower panel to the upper panel. The lower panel should then easily drop down and come right out. Now you need a flashlight or florescent drop light (once you get situated under the dash you'll understand why a standard bulb type drop light is not recommended/close quarters), a medium or long flat head screwdriver. Position yourself so you are looking up the lever the brake pedal is on. You should see a white box attached to the lever with a wire harness plugged into the top of it. Unplug the harness by carefully pulling the safety catch away from the box and then pulling the plug, not the wires, up and away. Then look at where the box attaches to the lever arm, there should be a metal clasp going over and then back up and around the attachment point. Take the screwdriver and push the clasp up as far as it will go. Then insert the flat blade of the screwdriver between the clasp and the attachment point and carefully pry away from the box. The clasp will "pop" and usually separate and drop down to the floor, if not it should easily come off at this point. Now you can roll the switch box up and out toward the seats and then pull toward the center of the car and wiggle back out of the position you got yourself into. Stretch out for a bit and then follow these directions in reverse to install the switch back onto the vehicle.
