take tires off
remove caliper
then rotor should pop right off you might have to wiggle a lil bit but there is nothing holding it on besides the caliper and rims
Remove the tire and wheel from your 1997 Mitsubishi Montero. Remove the brake shoe assembly. Tap on the rotors to loosen them. The rotors will slide off. Reverse the process to install your new rotors.

The most common cause of this problem is warped brake rotors. Get it replaced soon. Whenever you replace rotors, you should replace the pads. The old pads will have conformed to the shape of the rotors, so braking efficiency and life will be down if you use them with the new rotors.
If the car shakes when you press on the brakes, you probably have warpped brake rotors, and the squeak is probably some worn out front brake pads. I would have your rotors checked and either replaced (which Mercedes highly recommends or re-surfaced)

New rotors for my 2002 4.7L Dakota Sport 4X4 were about $40cdn each. If you are having someone else install them, don't pay more than 1 hour labour, you can do it yourself if you're mechanically inclined and have the right tools in about 30-40 minutes. Note: Ideally, you should also install new brake pads along with the new rotors.
There are 2 possible types of rotors available for this model. They are about $30 and $50, to resurface the rotor, it would cost about $40. So if you need to work on them, might just be safer to replace them.

you'll need to pop off the grease cap then remove the snap ring to get the hub off to get the rotor off.
Unless the caliper is broken, you can just replace the brake pads.
Just unscrew the rear brake light, turn out the socket, and replace the bulb.
