it is said thet the male seals peeni freeze off! xD
It can cost upwards of 200.00 dollars to replace the transmission seals in a 96 Honda Accord as of 2014. The exact price depends on the seals you purchase.
When you replace the timing belt you should also replace the water pump, seals, coolant and other belts (per the Honda guys). It cost me a little over $700 for my 2001 Accord V6. Spendy but necessary since it gets you another 100,000 miles or so. jw
usually the valve cover gasket and the oil seals on the top of the cover,replace gasket and the also the distributor seal
they shouldn't.. you need to replace the fork seals
The oil in the Spark plug area would mean your seals are worn out. The valve cover has seals between the valve cover and the head. Once you replace the seals you should be good to go now as for the other part of the question i will pass on that one hope i was helpful.
The water pump is located in the timing belt area. If its leaking you will want to replace the belt also as coolant will shorten the life of the belt. Don't forget to check the crankshaft & camshaft oil seals and do them while you're in there.
An emergency fix is to add about 1 ounce of brake fluid to the resivoir. This will help somewhat by swelling the seals but it will not last long. The only permanent fix is to replace the pump.
A leaking manifold seal on the intake will cause a popping noise on the 1996 Honda Accord. This can heard most clearly on days when the weather is cold because the seals tend to shrink.
They usually are included in a set of plug wires. {No they are not. They are a separate set of seals and you must take off the valve cover to get to them. Google Honda forums and you will find good guides at places like hondatech.com or superhonda.com}
replace timing belt,balancer belt,water pump and oil seals for cam shaft and crank shaft.this will be the best way to get rid of any future problems from these areas bcos if any one of these breaks ,u have to pay all the same labor.use genuine Honda oil seals as after market ones are not proper fit .and....make sure ur mechanic is a good one cos mine was not very good.....and i had to get it redone... thanks
Try cleaning out the drains on the corners and make sure the drain tubes are clear. Otherwise, replace the seals.
You should replace the water pump, tensioner, seals, and drive belts with the timing belt. It should be no more than 450 dollars.
