It can cost upwards of 200.00 dollars to replace the transmission seals in a 96 Honda Accord as of 2014. The exact price depends on the seals you purchase.
it is said thet the male seals peeni freeze off! xD
Transmission seals? front yes, rear no. Engine seals, yes.
need to replace transmission seals
When you replace the timing belt you should also replace the water pump, seals, coolant and other belts (per the Honda guys). It cost me a little over $700 for my 2001 Accord V6. Spendy but necessary since it gets you another 100,000 miles or so. jw
usually the valve cover gasket and the oil seals on the top of the cover, replace gasket and the also the distributor seal
Honda Automatic transmissions use an internal filter that is designed for the life of the transmission. It is extremely rare that one would have to be changed. Also do not do a power flush on a Honda transmission as it will ruin the internal seals.
they shouldn't.. you need to replace the fork seals
The oil in the Spark plug area would mean your seals are worn out. The valve cover has seals between the valve cover and the head. Once you replace the seals you should be good to go now as for the other part of the question i will pass on that one hope i was helpful.
The water pump is located in the timing belt area. If its leaking you will want to replace the belt also as coolant will shorten the life of the belt. Don't forget to check the crankshaft & camshaft oil seals and do them while you're in there.
Replace the gasket on the transmission pan and insect the seals on the transmission where your driveshafts come out
bad or old seals, this is a common problem on all aging vehicles.
An emergency fix is to add about 1 ounce of brake fluid to the resivoir. This will help somewhat by swelling the seals but it will not last long. The only permanent fix is to replace the pump.
