pretty simple...reach directly behind the fog light and feel the 2 wires- they are in a plastick casing. grab the casing between thumb and forefinger, push in slightly and turn approximately 1cm. the bulb housing releases, pull the housing straight backwards until you have the entire assembly removed. unplug the bad bulb by pulling it straight out. push in the new bulb, push the assembly back inside the hole, aligning the three tabs in their slots, then turn 1 cm or so th lock back in place.

should take 3 minutes.

Get under the front bumper of the Jeep. There is a plastic waterproof cover under each fog lamp. It comes out with two Phillips screws. Remove the bulbs and replace them with new ones. If your switch is bad go to jeepsareus.com and buy a new switch for 29 dollars instead of the over 100 dollar price that a dealer will charge you for the same part.

First, determine which style bulb you need, some catalogues say 899 series, but mine was an 898. there are 3 bolts for the front of the splash shield, you will need a ratchet and 10mm socket. Remove just those 3 bolts and bend that shield down to put your hand in to remove the old bulb, but removal at this point is not necessary. If you look at it, the 898 bulb comes out at a 90 degree angle before entering the harness, where the 899 is straight into the harness. Once you have determined which bulb it takes then go out and get one. This will save you the hassle of returning it if it is wrong. ( you can drive the car to the store without those three bolts, just make sure the shield is in place) The space to squeeze your arm into is tight, the plastic holds its shape well, and pinches you but it can be done. the build turns slightly to pull out and once it is out, taking it off the harness is simple, it should slide out fairly easily, but if it does not, simply pry up the little tabs gently with a small flat screw driver, this plastic can get brittle. put the new bulb directly into the lamp before plugging the harness into it, being careful not to touch the glass of the bulb, the oil on your skin can cause it to blow out again. replace the bolts and you are finished.

Hello ! To replace the Headlamp in any Ford Probe from 93 to 97 to begin it is strongly suggested to replace in pairs. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. On the console below the stereo (between driver and passenger seats) there may be a button with a bucket headlamp symbol, with the ignition off and reguler lights off press this. Your headlamp assembly should flip up.

If you do not have the headlamp button mentioned above, keep the negative battery terminal connected, and turn on the headlights. Then remove the negative battery connection from the battery terminal, and this will leave your headlamps flipped up but off. Then you may proceed with the headlamp change.

Facing the front of the car on left and right of each headlamp is one each screw remove these and very carefully remove the plastic retainer. It must be pulled forward and down, you have to work it loose. The plastic retainer will have one plastic locating pin on each side, to the rear (of the car) towards the hinge. Carefully and gently wiggle the plastic retainer, and gently lift the ears of the plastic retainer from the hinge side while gently pressing down on the plastic retainer until the locating pins are clear of their mounting point..

After removing the plastic retainer you will see four each small screws that hold the stamped metal retainer in closing the lamp assembly. Very carefully remove these four screws and put into a container so you don't lose them! Next pull the lamp forward and wiggle and remove the electrical connector, again being very careful. The connector goes over 3 flat connections on the lamp.

To replace simply reverse the order of removal, insuring the lamps are right side up when installing. Stan Kaz
