I replaced the fuel pump on my 94 a few years ago. But depending on the engine that's in your model, the fuel pump may be in the fuel tank or mounted under the hood. My suggestion would be to purchase a Haynes repair manual. I have one and have found it pretty handy. The book covers the replacement of either type of fuel pump. If yours is in the gas tank, like mine is, make sure to replace the fuel strainer on the bottom of the unit. My van went thru two NAPA fuel pumps, both installed by the dealer I bought the van from (used). The original pump went within a couple months of buying the van so it was covered under the dealer warranty. The second went in less than six months, the NAPA pump price was covered under NAPA's warranty, but not the labor at the dealer ($300!!!). That pump lasted about one year (12 or 13000 miles). No warranty anymore for the NAPA part, so I went to Autozone and got a fuel pump for $80(lifetime replacement warranty!) They told me I should make sure to change the strainer no matter how good it looked because it could cause the pump to fail. I bought the strainer (don't remember how much, so it couldn't have been much) and replaced it along with the pump. That was about three/four years ago and I haven't had a problem with it since. Hope this helps.
You must drop the fuel tank.
it is part of the fuel injector which is under the upper intake manifold
the pump is in side the fule tank drop tank replace pump get a astro van manual
the fuel pump is in the fuel tank--which is located about half way back on the drivers side...
inside the fuel tank, tank must be removed
You need to lower the fuel tank to get at it.
It might be on the firewall under the hood on the left side.BEst of luck....I to am haveing trouble with astro van.
For your 1994 CHEVROLET TRUCK ASTRO VAN 2WD: FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE 9-13 PSI(POUNDS PER SQUARE INCH) You can find this stuff free at autozone.com under specifications.
drop the fuel tank and it's inside. remove the retainer on top then pull out the pump from the fuel tank
Open hood, look to your left top cowl (firewall) , you will see two relays, the larger of the two is the fuel relay.
It should be located under the vehicle on the frame on the drivers side just below the drivers door and the fuel door.
Need to check or replace the ingnition module in the Distributor.
