Standing on the driver side, looking under the center intake manifold; you will see a round black object with a 10mm or 12mm bolt in the center, which is the knock sensor. You will need a small hand and a short 3/8" ratchet or a long ratchet with a offset handle to reach it. After removing the sensor, take off the thin silver clip and disconnect the wire. Do the reverse and you are done. Wear some mechanics gloves to help from cutting your hands up--speaking from experience. Came away with three deep cuts and a lot of my blood remaining on the top of the engine.
You don't. You buy a new car.

how many gaskets and which ones are needed when you replace the knock sensor on a Nissan frontier w/a 3.3l v6 engine?
See answer for same question regarding a 1995 Maxima. Think this is the same VQ engine.
The knock sensor for most Nissan V6 engines is located directly under the intake manifold. So to replace it, you have to remove the intake manifold. Good Luck.
Never mind, I got my answer.
If just the knock sensor need to be replaced. I would say no more than $150.00
