You have to pop out the harness that holds it on to your bumper. Youll be left with a wire with the light on the end of it. Take it apart, and there is your light bulb.
Remove the screws that hold the covers in place. Replace bulbs!
Get under the vehicle and look up into the bumper where the housing is located. Squeeze the tabs and push the housing out of the bumper. It takes about 10 seconds.
Remove the bumper and put on a new one :)
Look on the back side of the bumper find the socket turn it, remove the bulb replace it, reverse steps to reinstall it
the plug on the back side of the bumper twists to the left and you pull it out of the bumper
I have a 1997 Tahoe with a trailer hitch. There are two, u-shapped retaining clips on the "inside" of the bumper. Slide the clips off. Now you can pull the housing through the "outside" of the bumper. Twist the socket out of the housing and replace the bulb. Installation is the reverse.
remove the bulb holder from behind the lense (inside the bumper) with a 1/4 turn. replace the bulb and reverse for reinstalation.
Lift up slightly, then rotate the black plastic cover and it will loosen and pull out of the socket in the bumper. Once it is removed from the bumper, grasp the rear of the wiring harness and twist to expose the light bulb. Replace the bulb, then reassemble in the reverse order.
On my 98 Tahoe under the bumper behind the are where the tag is located you just pull the light assembly out. It has a little pressure clip. replace light and replace assembly the same way.
under the front bumper just above the license plate.
