Buy a bulb from the Honda dealer or auto parts store (so you get the right one). You will need to remove the instrument cluster trim panel, and then remove the instrument cluster itself. Change out the bulb. Detailed instructions can be found at Alldata and on the internet.

How do you replace the odometer light bulb in 2004 Honda Odyssey?

Some say the odometer on the Honda Odyssey does not have a bulb and that if the odometer light fails, you have to replace the entire circuit board for the odometer, which costs about $350 from the dealer. That is incorrect. There is a separate backlight for the Odometer - it runs ~$5 but requires ~$100 in labor (1 hr install time) (12/30/08). 7/09 : I changed one in a 2000 Odyssey. I first took off both the left (by power door switches) and right (A/C) panels - these pull/pryl off. Then I took off the long dash unit (9 screws or so). Then I took out the speedmeter assembly (4 screws). and replaced the small black bulb ( $6 at the Honda dealer). The whole job took ~1 hour - was not that hard! You should replace the black bulb in the A/C panel as well while your at it (these twist 1/2 turn)!

How do you replace a Honda Accord odometer light?

The bulb is replaced from the back side of the gauge cluster. Don't know of any place on the internet to refer you for detailed information but the gauge assembly is very easy to get out. Just remove the two screws from the black trim panel around the gauge. Pull the trim panel out--two clips on the bottom corners and the two screws on the top. Remove the 4 screws that hold the gauge assembly in the dash and carefully pull out the assembly. You will need to unplug the 3 plugs from the top of the assembly. Just replace the odometer light bulb located on the bottom directly behind the odometer area. Source: http://en.allexperts.com/q/Honda-Repair-814/Odometer-light-2000-Accord.htm

Why doesn't my odometer light come on in my 2000 buick?

It's not a light, the odometer is an LCD and the whole unit needs replaced. I have yet to find the parts to do this though. You do not need to replace the cluster. The problem lies within the circuitboard. I repair these clusters for 97-04 century models. If you replace the cluster, you will lose all of your odometer readings, which is NOT controlled by the computer. Contact me at ANCTechnologies at Hotmail.com
