How do you replace the oxygen sensor on a 1994 Toyota Tercel?
The oxygen sensor is in the factory manifold coming off of the front of the engine. It has been a while since I looked at mine but I think it is the only plug in wire on the exhaust.Get a new sensor and go to a local muffler shop and they will do it in no time, or pull it out yourself and plug in the new one.
try to find out which oxygen sensor it is i believe it has 4 2 on each side. if they are going out it will defitley trigger a check engine light and cause a missfire you have to buy a special socket for it its way easier. and disconnect the cable usually has clips. and unscrew the sensor and put new one in its very easy
There are Two Oxygen sensors on this car. One is located right on the front of the engine on the exhaust manifold, behind a metal plate held on by three hex screws. The other one is located behind the Catalytic Converter, screwed right into the exhaust pipe. This one is connected to the computer inside your console right by the gear shifter.
How do you replace the oxygen sensor on a 1991 Toyota Tercel and is there a difference between an OE sensor and a universal sensor on this car thank you?
A universal sensor is one where you have to cut off the electrical connector from the old wire and solder it onto the new one. An OEM version comes with the correct connector so all you have to do is plug it in.
