If the headlight assembly is the same or similar to a 1998 tacoma, Its simplicity, and I believe its the same... The headlight is actually separate from the park lamp. There is only 1 Philips screw at the top of the light, take this screw out and it pulls straight out, the only thing other than that 1 screw that holds it in ther is like a plastic pin that's designed to pop off, replace bulb and pop back into place, put your screw back in place. Finished, Total time under 1 minute. Problem solved!
To replace the parking light bulbs, remove the screw on top of the headlight and pop out the clearance light. The parking light bulb will be accessible after this removal.

Pull the console. Just a few screws gains you access. The only tough part is the speedometer cable. Once its off you can pull and replace the bulbs easy enough.
The bulbs are replaceable behind the lens, so the lens (two screws for the front and 4 for the back) must be removed to change the bulbs.
