How do you replace the power window scissors on a 98 Montana Transport?

• Hello i have a 98 Pontiac transport they are the same as the Montana.. hmmm ..removing the door panel to get to the regulator ... ok here it goes ! fist disconnect the battery . then take a small screwdriver to remove the power window and door lock panel from door . remove the pins or connectors from bottom of the switches then easly pry the door panel off using then again a screwdriver to loosen the first two at botom the use you hands to pull the rest of the door loose .. (becareful tho u don't wont to have to replace the door pins ouch they are expensive here $10 each like to have died when he told me that !) then u will see a plastic cover moisture cove over the regulator just remove it try to not rip it tho so u can put it back on later !the u will see five bolts simply remove these and unplug the wires from the back of regulator motor and your done ! now come the fun part you may be able to find just the scissors aka regulator .. but not likely most of the time you have to buy the whole kit it usally runs around $400-$500 dollars so gool luck !!! pss this info is from my own experience i am not a professional if still unsure plz call you local dealer they can answer any questions with out charging you !
